1982z28with18s, and LPE Z convt are on the right path go with a custom grind and some heads from Lloyd. That will get you good results. That is what I am getting ready to do ported heads from Lloyd with stock valves and a custom grind.

Also like everyone else said the hot cam will not get you there, trust me.
