I love these gears!! Im glad i didnt let these guys talk me out of it! I guess we will see what happens, but so far so good. I suggest these gears over 4.10s with any m6 guys.
Really?:blah:
That much better eh? What do your RPM's sit at when you are doing 60 in 6th?
I guess you'll have a sore arm in no time from having to work the stick, from just driving around town.
Do you use 5th to drive around town or is 4th still the gear of choice?

when im at 60 or when i think im bout at 60 (speedo off) Im turning bout 18-1900 which isnt to bad with the 4.10s i was doin 70 at 2000. And for my arm most of the time ill start in second and skip gears unless im playing. I havent made it threw a full tank yet but at 3/4 i have 130 miles, but we all kno how the feul gage is!
Really its better. thats something ive never understood the steeper the gear it isnt gonna spin longer jus faster. There are 2 a4 boys in town both stock and one with 2.73's and one with 3.23 and the 2.73 spins worse. (Ive drove both) plus im on 315's so u know. i havent done a drop yet but off idle it jus chirps, i love the gears.
Ive been running 4.33s for awhile, so i can maybe answer some questions better than him since he just got them.
Gas mileage didnt really go down much. Used to get ~30 on the highway, with the gears got about 27.
Biggest difference is when going up hills and stuff you dont have to give it any gas at all, it will just go up them like nothing. SO its not so much the rpms that kill milage, its throttle position.
Traction was nightmare with 275s for me in 1st, 2nd, and part of 3rd. Put on some full time drag radials with psi in the lower 30s and they hook better than i ever did with 342s and street tires.
60 foots are SWEEET at the track. 1.79 is best on drag radials, car is lowered too.
Anyways, the gear is too much for a stock cam. It puts you out of the powerband. With a cam, i couldnt be happier. The big gear makes up for the big cam down low, and once you get the rpms up the cam takes over for the gears. Great combo. With the 4.33s i was with stock cam going through at the top portion of 4th. No new times with cam yet.
