Well, I appreciate everyones info and feedback. I will pass this on and let him make the call, his money after all. If we do end up doing this I will post results with driving manners and everything. If not, then we will just call it an interesting idea that was a bad one.

IMO, the only place for a 302... other than a Ford, is in a 69' DZ 302 Camaro.

5.3L = 323.3 cubic inch, which is basically your 327 . These are very effective and potent powerplants.

This has been done already... And it made less torque and made more horsepower, but in the end.. having the cubic inches is best. Since the LS motor really has no problem revving they have found that going that route is a waste of money.
