Unhappy 4-2 and 3-2 shift

Okay my car did this before and after a tranny rebuild. it has no problems with a first gear downshift, but when shifting in to second from 3rd or 4th, It revvs noticeably higher than it should before it actually shifts. I am not showing any other signs of my tranny going downhill, could it be anything else? I only have 10,000 miles on rebuilt tranny !!!!!

Do you mean it goes into a "neutral" condition momentarily as you make the downshift? If you grab the lever and bring it back while you make the downshift, does the same thing happen?

Sorry, dude, I can't help too much either.
I had a GTP with the same symptomes, but it did it when shifting from 2-3, too, it was slipping bad.
To be honest, I sold it before it took a crap on me or

Yea... that's what it is. I honestly dont know about using the shifter as I haven't made it a habit to shift up or down while driving, but I will try today and get back to ya.

No, it shifts just fine using the column ... giving it gas and not giving it gas. It just does it in D and OD.

I would get it checked by a different tranny shop.
