There is a calculator for this somewhere, I always forget the link, ill try google to help you out.

And btw, its 4.10:1 or 3.73:1 not 3:73.

here ya go. there is one that CamaroZ28 has provided.

https://www.camaroz28.com/calcs/index.shtml

it is towards the bottom of the page. I believe it says RPM and MPH calculator.

Hope this helps.

I have 4.10s and a m6 and I haven't paid to much attention but I think I am in between 2k and 2.5k. If I get a tag anytime soon I will try to let ya know. Also my tires are stock sized. I'm not sure on rotation per mile but shouldn't be to different.

For the 94 and up T56, and stock tire diameter (25.65" with Z-rated 245/50-16's):

3.42 - 1,580rpm
3.73 - 1,710rpm
4.10 - 1,900rpm

Remember, the stock tach typically reads 100-200rpm higher than actual engine RPM. Best thing to do is read the RPM off the PCM with a scanner.

Won't help him, because you have an A4 and he has an M6. Different overdrive ratios on the top gear. A4 in 4th is 0.70, M6 in 6th is 0.50.

For anyone who has a 93 with the M6, 6th gear is 0.62

I believe my 97SS runs around 1900 at 70 with the 4.10s. I think that something between 410s and 37s, e.g. 3.9 seems about right. I believe it would provide the inceased torque and a bit more top end. JMHO

I believe i'm right around 2150 at 70MPH, and going from my 3.42 gears i only noticed maybe a 1 or 2 mpg drop. It really didn't seem to effect gas mileage but hardly.
