Re: 3inch true duals?

If you want to slowly whittle away at the metal by scraping on stuff go for it, they sound great but they also have a "drone zone" as I like to call it, around 2500-3500 rpm, you would really have it bad with that 306 cam and the stall. I bought some jet-hot long tubes for my last Z and I couldnt get a y-pipe to fit so went and got the true duals ran, I scraped on everything. Oh and you cant ride with 4 people in the car anymore. Get 2 1/2 inch pipes, its just a 350.

3" would be overkill for your setup.

would 3inch hurt anything? I know it wouldnt be ideal but i can get a good deal on it. Or is 3inch to little back pressure?

It won't hurt anything, the car just most likely wont feel as quick as it would with 2.5. if you can get a good deal go for it.
