Callies Stealth Forged Crankshaft 3.875in stroke
Eagle Forged H-Beam Rods 6.000in length, clearanced for Camshaft
Diamond Forged Pistons 34cc reverse dome
94 LT1 block clearanced for added stroke
Stock Oil Pump
Stock Oil Pan
Stock Windage Tray
Stock Head Castings

Biggest trouble I ran into was clearancing the stock pan/windage tray for the added stroke, and later having to clearance the steering rack on the k-member now that the pan was so much lower.

I started it for the first time yesterday to find my distributor was ****. New GM unit comes tomorrow. I'll report back soon as I get it broken in and have some track times.

I let Chad Golen do all the hard work and build-up the 396 short-block. I added AFR LT4 heads, a Comp XFI cam and all the other basic performance parts (Moroso oil pan & Pump, Electric WP, Etc.). I couldn't be more happy with the 396. With some good air, I think it will now go high 10s now! (the times posted are old).

I'm talking to Victory and AI about one right now. Still have some details to figure out and another month or two of saving money but the current discussion is Compstar crank & rods, Mahle or Diamond pistons, Diamond plasma-moly rings, AI 200cc heads / custom cam, 58mm throttle body, etc.
Motor is being built for road racing and mild street duty. Won't be a dyno queen or 10 second drag car but will put down some solid numbers and be downright terrifying on the road course
