396 lt1 questions
396 lt1 questions
looking into trading my car. the camaro i might be trading for has a 396. just wanna go over what parts are used.. what eagle crank would be used for 396?
actually here this is all it says, i emailed and trying to get more info of course
just asking cause its a 396.. 383 would make me more comfortable but how reliable can the 396 be? which part #'s should i get? or just get part #'s for the whole rotating assembly? thanks
Engine:
-Eagle Forged Crank
-Eagle Forged Rods
-SRP Forged Pistons
-PRW Aluminum Blue Roller Rockers
-Heavy duty Valve Springs
-Heads are aluminum and have been ported and polished, and portmatched to the headers
-New heavy duty valves
-Hooker Super Comp Ceramic coated long tube headers.(3" Collectors)
-K&N Cold air intake
-MSD Blaster Coil/8.5 mm Super conducter wires/Distributor Cap&Rotor
-LT4 Timing set
-All Seels & Gaskets new
-All ARP Bolts and Studs
-Waterpump new, with new thermostat
also... .The Motor is the LT1 Corvette motor made into the LT4 then it has been bored and Stroked to the 396. The motor is balanced and Blue printed with all specs and reciepts for everything.
the car has not been dyno'd and i asked for a head flow sheet and which heads they are

he said its a corvette lt1 so ya itd be a 4 bolt main... and ya im tryin to get all the parts numbers
---- well actually now that i read that.. it says the corvette lt1 motor.. and everyone always calls the lt1 a corvette motor even if its in a camaro.. good point i will ask
