How can the dyno operator alter the results on a dynojet or any other dyno for that matter? I was wondering myself cuz this local guy's dyno always gives me different #'s. I've been on there a few times and my #'s were all over the place.

Sure there are a bunch of tricks I don't know, however:

1. (My favorite) Shoot nitrous into the air cleaner (yes, I’ve seen it done)
2. Remove the belt
3. Change the altitude to higher than it really is for a better correction factor
4. Use MPH instead of RPM and use the smoothing factor to change peak hp
5. Race gas
6. Ice the intake
7. Rig a fan so it blows directly into the intake (mini-supercharger)
8. Position the car just right on the dyno rollers
9. (A close second to my favorite) Remove the rear brakes as it shows a 10 hp increase.

Again, sure there are whole bunches more, but those are the ones I can think of right now.

The only track times i have it from a 355 Le1.5 11.7 @118mph in HOuston

Since Amarillo no longer has a drag strip most guys dont spend the cash on the drag setup's, only hp and 315 drag radials.

No track times, the heads were the 97 castings, and he has been having problems with them.

The clutch is also going out on his car, its a total street car with 275 street tires on the back. It wouldn't run impressive times at a track compared to a car like mine that has every suspension and chassis part for drag racing. It might MPH better than some other LE cars, but then again you would have a hard time comparing mph's because our Density Altitude was 6000ft yesterday.

I thought i posted this earlier, that when the car was dynoed i personally raced the 466 LE2 car against a friend of mines LS1 with 437 rwhp ( G5X3 cam, fast 90/90, underdrive) , i pulled him two to three cars if i remember

did it make the most power being that rich? i thought it was supposed to be at 12.7-13. when i dyno'd my car it made better power at 11.8. so i'm just wondering if you found the same thing. real rich = real good numbers?????

Thats a shame, a car with that much potential, and he puts street tires on it and doesn't use it, like he should.

Good , i won the shootout, and got a pic in GMHTP.. Fixed the rear end issuse from the shootout, upgraded to 35 spline axles and spool, bought some 28x10.5W's and aluma star's to match the front. Dropped 35lbs off wheels and tires alone from the 325 MT dr's.. Ran the car up here in 5500ft DA with some borrowed 28x10.5's, went 11.19 at 124.6mph with a 1.60 60' all motor.. I am ordering the face plated gears from Liberty next week, i am trying for 10's up here that way when i get back to sea level, mid 10's for sure.

damn Brady, that is a rocket.

Anything 'near" the 10's is hauling *** at that altitude.
