You got it!!! LT1's love high compression. I'm at 12.2:1 with Lloyd's LE1 Emissions cam on 93 pump gas.

lloyd- yes this is the set you just did for me

Sorry now A-B test with the cut out

The car did make as much power when it was 12.5-13.0. We know first hand that the dyno wideband was off a full point from the tail pipe , to a customers header wideband. So i'm still not sure on the exact a/f with seams like the motor likes more fuel.

Mahle -5cc pistons, -.003 block deck, felpro 1074's, heads have a 54cc chamber.

Dyno was a superflow

This is not my car, this is a friends 97 Z-28 that i build

The car made 460.8rwhp and 431.2 with a 13.0 a/f, but after that run a hint of anti freeze! after some plug inspection, i'm gona pull the heads and slap on some cometics

Exactly, it’s all about attention to detail and getting the entire system working properly. Awesome #s!!!

All I can say is wow Brady! You always manage to surprise me and make me want to go bigger! You just barely did my cam in Decenber and I already want bigger! Once I get me some LE2 heads I'll be giving you a call again. I now have to compete with my friend in town that has a 01 Z28 with an MS4 and 150 shot!

Ok maybe not compete but at least keep up!

Details

make sure everything is perfect, even if you didn't do something, machine work, double check everything. Make sure new parts work, lol.. A friend just got a new MSD opti and it **** out in less than a 1/4 mile , talk about pissed and money wasted.. Make sure all of the parts will work together, not miss matched , or something you just thought would work better together. Tune the **** out of it.

Good luck

Like i said look for my own personal 383 Le2 single plane numbers soon. 475+ would be nice

I'll post a graph tomorrow, need a scanner.
Really is very impressive. Congratulations to all involved. Lloyd said he was getting some absolutely sick flow numbers these days and it shows.

Getting an air/fuel reading trying to read the exhaust with a probe at the tailpipe appears to sometimes be iffy at times. Currently have a 02 bung in the exhaust system for the dyno 02 wideband and that appears to be more consistent but I'm endlessly amazed at the spread in 02 readings these cars seem to like.

Hey, great job.

Thank you for the details. As far as I can tell, that combination doesn't get you down to 11.9:1. I get 12.6:1 for this combination. Am I entering something wrong in the SCR calculator on this site? I am not trying to argue with you, but I'm wondering if the Bowling CR calculator leaves out something important (gasket hole diameter maybe?) or is inacurate.

Bowling's Compression Ratio Calculator
Input Parameters Are the Following:
Cylinder head Volume (CC) = 54.00
Piston Top Volume (CC) = 5.00
Cylinder Bore (Inches) = 4.040
Cylinder Stroke (Inches) = 3.75
Deck Height (Inches) = 0.003
Head Gasket Thickness (Inches) = 0.039
Computation Results:
Computed Compression Ratio is 12.6 to 1

Beautiful man. I'm glad I dropped the Benji's to get my intake ported now! Just need to get it running right and on a Dyno!

Roadtrip, thanks for clarifying the CR. Makes sense now.

DCR # sounds a little too high to be accurate for those variables, too, considering my SCR is around 12.5 and Bret tells me I'll be well below 9.0 DCR with that cam & 6" rods. What are you using for IVC? Rod length?
