Is a 383 stroker really worth the $$$
I've always heard that if everything remains equal then each additional cubic ich will net one more horsepower, so adding 33 more cubes is worth 33 more horsepower. You can build a 355 that puts out 500 fwhp with the right heads/cam. A stroked engine will make the cam seem smaller than it is, but the extra money might not justify the outcome.
You guys really got me cleared up. I thought $2000 woulndt be enough to get the motor the way I want it. I may just go with a 355 and add better interals and some bolt on's. If I need the extra power I may just add some juice to it to give me that extra HP when I need it. I'm also thinking reliability too, I need this to be a daily driver, and also to get me where I need to be as fast as possible. I'm going to start seaching around for what I need and start making a list of what I need, Thanks
