depends on what kind of power your gonna produce.... and if your planning on spraying or boosting FORGET IT...look at the components...ive got roughly 2000 in my shortblock and its mid level but definately better than that

i wouldn't buy it. i would rather save and buy an all forged short block. they estimate 430 horsepower with matching components. you can make 390ish on a cam only 350 ci lt1 and full full bolt ons. save your money bro.

The power a motor puts out is relative, the cubes have more potential, you have to use the potential.

If your going to put all your components on that short block then it is reasonable but I personally would upgrade the pistons. If your starting with the short block and you have to purchase all the components to make it a running motor then your talking 5 to 6 grand total. All the little stuff adds up fast like cam, heads, rockers, lifters, timing set, ect.

i agree that 383 has more power potential with a 350. however the stock lt1 350 has plenty of potential too.

I have my le1 heads being ported by lloyd as we speak. I do have to purchase the rest of the set up and after adding everything up, it will total approximately $5500.00 with the forged short block accounting for $3100 of the total. I figured I could purchase the block listed and save about a grand and put that toward other items that I will probably need such as injectors, a tune, and installation.
