383 stroker ?

I have a 94 Z28 with a 355 and Im think I spun a rod bearing its making a knocking noise from the bottom end of the engine, you dont notice it until the engine is around 3000 rpms, what does that soud like to you? If it really is a spun rod bearing Im thinking of doing a 383 stroker set up, what do you guys think is the best way to go and what all do I need to change out besides the rod bearings, crankshaft, andharmonic balancer? Please help out, thanks

Probably need to replace at least one rod. No need to replace the balancer. Going to need pistons too.

Pistons, rods (if you choose to upgrade to a 5.85" or 6" rod), crankshaft, bearings, oil pan on some setups, etc. Try a search - there's hundreds of posts about 383s.

It needs to be torn down and carefully inspected before making any decisions.

Re: 383 stroker ?

thanks alot guys I mean the car ran great without a 383 so if I decide to just fix whats wrong, if the crank is ok, I would just have to change out the rod bearings? What would you guys recomend I do, I love this car to death its my first car and Ive got so much blood sweat and tears in this I cant just part away with it.
