Unhappy 383 stroker

hello im looking for a great company that sells short blocks 383 stroker for my 94z28 is there anyone in this site that might of bought a 383 for there camaro please let me know from what company u bought from and hows it working out for u??..i was thinking about victory racing engines/Golen maybe i just dont know how good there engines are..any help recommendations???..must be smog legal live in cali..thanks.

I used a Callies Compstar 383 setup (crank,rods@6.0, plus Mahle pistons). My engine builder ditched the ACL bearings that were supplied with the combination (he felt the clearances were a bit too large). Other than that he was completely satisfied with the fit & finish.

Contact Derek at L&R Engine in Santa Fe Springs, CA they built my 383 and
they're about an hour from Palm Springs. Its highly suggested that you get someone local to build your engine just incase something blows up then you can hold them responsible for it.

The Compstar Speed Packs are great products, though I personally prefer Clevite Bearings so I have them substituted in.
