Cool 383 Stroker

I just bought my third F-Body. I have a trashed 97' SS, 94' Z28 and a 02' SS. The 02' is just a clean car, normal driving and crusing with the SLP Loud Mouth Exhaust.

I want to modify my 94 Z28. I took out the stock LT1 and I'm dropping in a 383 Stroker. Is there anyone out there that has a Stroker on there Z. I want to talk. I need some driving experiences. Because if the horse power is not there I want more power. I'm very interested in the STS Turbo kit. So if the Stroker is not enough I will get the turbo kit. If there is anyone out there that could help.

Re: 383 Stroker

Driving experience all kind of depends on the set up honestly... I have a 383 and it dirves fine... then again it's also based on what your definition of streetable is. I drive mine back and forth to work everyday without a problem and I have 430 hp. Some people might say my car isn't streetable, but to me it is... no driveability issues.

With your T/A (383) Plus a charger. How often do you drive it? How is it driving it? Street racing performance (handeling). Is it too much for street? Do you have a web site?

Thanks,
Dan

I drive it as much as possible, its certainly streetable. All the accessories are still there. However I can't keep an auto from not frying, so I'm about to swap it to 6spd. Actually just got the donor car today. That said, I run 315's on the back and it absolutly boils them, and bent the LCA's and the panhard so I'm going to custom tubular DOM units with 3/4" heims. I have to take it easy otherwise I'll end up all over the road. The low-end power is crazy. Well the top end isn't so bad, but you can certainly tell when its falling off of its power band. I personally love driving the car, people give me the oddest looks because its quite loud (loudmouth + mid length headers and no cat), I know with a good tune and some new exhaust, etc I can pull a ton more power out of it.

Re: 383 Stroker

Just build a 500 horse stroker motor and run as much boost as it will hold until you have to get fender flares to hold your 365/65/16's. Who cares about streetable? Build a car that will make small children cry.

But seriously, a car is only as streetable as your driving ability.
