has any one ever bought a 383 from summit and had great success...right now im in the market for one of these....

I think the ones you're looking at are the older style 2 piece rear seal...Not the newer style one piece real main seal blocks...If you are looking for short blocks I'd lok at Lingenfelter, Victory Racing Engines, and Golen...I have a Lingenfelter 383 shortblock and its been in the car for 12 years with no issues at all...
