ok, im going to start my 383 project soon. but would like a few to look it over.

custom cam (nothing yet)

displacement 382.67
running about a 175 shot
does all that look ok?
anything need to be changed?

Forget trying to figure out static compression and what pump gas you can run on it. Pay attention to your cam choice, and figure the dynamic compression. Much more important.

I could be wrong, but I didn't think you could bore a 350 out to a 4.125 piston, thats a 400 piston. I know you are using the 3.75 stroke. Maybe I read something wrong.

Why are you running a 4.125 head gasket with a 4.030 bore? I did that once on my olds 350, used the wrong head gaskets, filled the engine up with water the first time i started it and ruined it.
