383 LT1's...a few questions...

Can a 383 be used with stock F-Body heads temporarily and not cause any problems? I've heard that lightweight flywheels can cause idling problems on the street. Is this true? Also which cam should I go with? It'll be mostly for cruising and everyday driving GM 847 ot CC306? It'll be a daily driver, so MPG is an issue, hence the T56.
BTW this is all going in my '88 T/A.

Well if you do a cam and don't do heads the motor won't breathe so you won't be making any real horsepower. If this isn't an issue, go nuts!

Also drivability is fine with a GM 847 in a 383.

I have a cam similar to that and its perfect for the 383.

You can use the stock casting but like Grip said, its not gonna make any decent power.
