Cool the 383 LIVES!!! woot

Is all i got to say bout that!

I didnt want to but i took my fans, radiator, AIR pump/bracket, balancer pulley, water pump and opti off.

Next I rechecked the wires, they were good.

Next I brought the motor to TDC, on the hub there is a timing mark. I just burped the key a few times to get it.

Then it seems like the splined coupling was on wrong, cus apparently if you put it on the opti, it should come off like nothing. Well it took a vice to get it. So we put the spline on the right way. Then we place it stright up on the car. Where the keyed spline are facing upwards. It slipped in first time. Ok so we are optimistic.

Then I needed to charge the battery cus it was low after cranking over prob 5 mins (during the last 3 days).

Finally i attached the MAF and IAC sensor. A couple cranks, i get a put, then put put, then brrrrraaaaappppp, brrraaaaaaapp!

Bam the motor works!!!

My Y pipe was really loose and i was getting major noise. But all in all she WORKS!!

Tommorrow I gotta pick up some waterpump gaskets, sealant and another 1 1/8th freeze plug. Mine on my water pump i put it on wrong and it was leaking. SO good thing i did that!

So thankyou everyone. Hopefully tommroow night ill be breaking the motor in.
