383 Le2 Tech Question

383 Le2 Tech Question

Ok heres a updates on my idle issue, i replaced the following IAC, ICM, MAP, and the elbow from evap solenoid, my elbow on the throttle body is not torn or anything like that because its one of the BBK polished elbows and my tps is set at .67 now this is what people has told me what my problem is i am currently running 38lb racetronics injectors and a 255lb walbro and when i told them im running the stock regulator they told me i needed a adjustable fuel regulator would that matter on my setup the car runs fine when moving but when at a full stop i cannot take off the line i have to ease into the throttle if not i recieve backfire within the intake any info??? SSSTROKERACE,INJUNEER, SHOEBOX anybody... sorry for the story but i tried everything just lookin for help from a fellow F-body....

The backfire in the intake means something is off..... there MIGHT be a leak in the intake someplace that is causing this or a header leak. Since we took out valve adjustment already.

man this sucks i mean othere than that the cars runnin better than it did before pulls alot stronger and does not cut out on me at a stop but ill check again for any vacuum leaks... is there a way of doing this? i really really appriciate the help

mine did that when i had the rocker arms adjusted wrong.
if your replacing that stuff im sure you already looked at that.

well i really havent looked at the rockers yet i was saving that for last only because i dont wanna **** them up if i dont know what im doing but how loud should they be? i mean i here them but sounds like a sewing machine from what i heard this is normal

not sure how loud the non self aligning ones are.
you might just want to take the covers off and have a look.
maybe start it up and see if any make more noise then others.

not sure why someone is telling you, that you need a adjustable regulator, as long as your programed for the injectors your fine.

IF you didn't check the rockers check them. That would be the first place i would start and start around 1/4 turn past zero lash.
