383 idles, bogs and dies when in neutral coming to stop.
I got back my 383 with lloyd ported trickflow heads and ion's mail order tuning, it is amazing and definitely a monster.
Only problem is that the car will bog and then die if i don't press the gas at all when it is in neutral after i have been driving for a while.
when i first start up the car, no problems at all, it stays around 1000 rpm, but then after driving it for a while, and then coming to a stop when it is in neutral, the car will bog and die after i come to a halt.
does anyone know what may be causing this, everything runs perfect otherwise.
thanks

That is a sure sign of a cam being far to large
j/k
I would just tell ion he may need to make some corrections in the tune to get it to run right.

You probably need to open up the throttle blades a little using the throttle set screw. You adjust this by looking at IAC counts through a scaner/scanning software. My 383 did the same thing initially and once I propped the throttle open a little and adjusted the TPS by slotting the holes, the problem went away. FWIW I was running a MADZ28 program at the time.
I set my IAC to 40ish hot closed loop idle
and adjusted the TPS to .45-.5 volts.

Make sure the KS is not pulling timing out once the engine tries to idle via some sort of scan tool. That was a problem for me and I didn't know it until the KS finally threw a code.
