383 Heads/Cam? What Should I Get?

383 Heads/Cam? What Should I Get?

Well I built my 383 last year, things went horribly wrong when I went to pull it out of storage, so now I want to build it more and I want some better heads. I have a CC306 in there right now, but thats negotiable as well. Im really open to anything, Im just kind of looking at what my options are. Of course Im looking for maximum horsepower, with minimum $$. Porting is an option as well as entirely new heads. This is just my weekend driver and track car now, so no need to worry about daily driving ability.

If anyone has any for sale I may be interested in as well.

Look at the LE2 or LE3 packages for the best bang for your buck. What injectors do you have in the car now?

Stock Injectors - possibly not for long though

I know LE has some proven setups, Im just looking for prices as well as alternatives.

Take a look at Ai's 210cc TFS heads for your 383. I bet these will make some serious power with a ported intake.

The 306 can work well in a stroker if you give it ported heads to let it breath. Unless it was a repair doing the bottomend without doing the topend was completely backwards. A 350 with a good topend will put a stroker with stock heads to shame easily.
Get the heads ported.

And dont get caught up on tacky sales pitches. Look on the board here and see who made what #'s with what set up. I wouldnt get too caught up on flow numbers either. Just look for whose heads make the most power.

By far best bang for the buck is LE. All I can say about him and Bret Bauer is that they seriously know their ****. I would not go to any one else for heads/cam/valve train. Once I get things straightened out with my truck, these guys are going to, for sure, be who I get my heads/intake/cam set up from.
