383 guys...bearing question
Guys with strokers, I need rod and main bearings for my 383 (cola crank and eagle h beam rods). Are these the right P/N's for the Clevitte bearings:
rods are cb-663 p
Mains are MS-909 P

You should be measuring that. You have to select the bearings within 0.0005" - 0.001".
You need to mike those journals to see what size you need, then set the bearing clearance based on what Cola recommends. Normally it's between 0.002 and 0.003 for mains and 0.0015-0.0025 for rods on a motor used for racing, but your oil pressure drops the looser you run them.
It's not trivial.
