3600 stall too much on stock LT1?
3600 stall too much on stock LT1?
I just picked up a Midwest 3600 stall for $300. Some of you might know that I'm shooting for being the fastest bolt-on around, so I'm pretty much going ***** to the walls.
Is this stall a little too overkill? My current mods are listed on my webpage. Any input is appreciated....

I think it is, because I was passing up most of my torque with mine. It's rated at 3200, but it flashed 3800 when I launched at the track. With 26x10.5x16 ET Streets, I could only pull a 1.77 60'.
Now with this big honking cam, hopefully my powerband wil be pushed up far enough so I hit some good torque, instead of passing it all.
But if your going to go with a cam in the future, it'd be a good investment. Just be sure to get a cooler with it.
