355 questions

Gathering from all the searches I have done on the subject of 355's, I've gathered you dont need a forged crank for a N/A setup, but instead forged lightweight pistons. Question is, what kit and from whom offers that kit?

Also, I couldn't find a definate answer on what is a good cam for a N/A 355. I'd like a high reving motor, and I currently have a 224/230 112 lsa in my car. Is that a good choice, or is there a better option?

Re: 355 questions

Summit sells a Mahle piston/ring/wristpin package that's really good. I believe it's around $600, maybe a little less than that.

I've got a 236/248 111 LSA cam in my car now and it's giving me some low vacuum issues. If you are looking for something high revving that ought to do the trick If you have specific cam characteristics that you want, it would probably be good to talk to someone about a custom grind cam.

Re: 355 questions

Get with your machine shop and make sure they will provide the proper compression ratio with your parts. If that checks out ok those will be great for you, and will be fine with some spray.
