Well the chickens came home to roost today.At the shop we determined the head gaskets are going and the radiator is broken at the neck where one of the little hoses connects-so not having time(the boss is cool about hot rods and working on employee cars but NOT engineless rollers in parking lot or tying up bays so 1 or 2 day engine swaps are a must) to find a core and not needing 383 a low buck 355 with some mildly worked lt4 heads and basic bolt ons seems like the hot tip at this point(unless someone reading this in Tacoma with a cheap core wants to contact me) Do any of you know of builders doing this as most of wha i found was 383 and 5000 bucks.I only paid 2k for the car and even with overheating I am pleased with performance so cheap is what i need -300hp would be great -car is 1997 m6 Lt1 with 153000 mi and overheats when you get on it but will run great at cruise on interstate
