My advice: part that jaunt out, put the money towards payments on a nicer car like a C5 Z06

I'll assume you are pissed of because no one specifically answered your question about the valve reliefs in the LT1 pistons. The pistons are flat top and they have 4 valve reliefs. I "BELIEVE" the LT1 pistons may be 7cc, and the L4 pistons may be 4cc..... but I DO NOT KNOW THE EXACT NUMBER.

You can keep demanding answers, or you could try a little research on your own, perhaps using an online compression ratio calculator to "back calculate" the volume of the stock setup. In any case, you will need to recalculate the compression ratio using the SPECIFIC measured values for your specific setup - combustion chamber cc's, cylinder bore, how far the piston is in the hole, head gasket thickness and valve relief cc's. You can't just buy a piston with the same valve relief volume as your stock LT1 pistons, and assume you will have the same compression ratio.

With that, I'll drop out of this thread.

Fred is right. What you think is the piston "style" is only a very small part of calculating your SCR. Fact is to just do a search, read, and review what other folks have done in your situation. Stick with what works.

Nope, your assumption is incorrect. I have tried searching for info but most people on here are doing much more radical things than I'm planning, so hopefully someone going for a budget 355 will find this information useful.

I ended up calling Late Model Racecraft in Houston to confirm some things since searches came to no avail.

Stock, Lt1
Deck height, 9.025
Pistons, Flat tops w/ -4cc valve reliefs(4)
Head Volume, 54cc

I found the compression ratio calc here, and with the pistons discussed earlier along with the Impala head gaskets (.029") give a compression ratio of exactly 10.5:1

sorry to jack but why do the lt1 pistons have 4 valve reliefs? does that mean a piston like say http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WIS-6166LA3/ that souldn't be used because it only has 2 valve reliefs?
