315's on a lowered car

My buddy has a 95 TA that he droped 2 inches. Would 315's fit in the rear wheel well, without rubbing.

How about a 1 in drop?

Thanks.

I just raised my car back up from a 1.5inch drop with 275's and they scrubbed. Also by lowering the car, if the camber isnt adjusted it will cause the tires to wear unevenly and could lead to more problems.

I would advise him not to do it. But thats just MHO.

There are many people who run 315s with lowering. You will most likely have to roll the fender lip and pound in some of the inner fender well and possible get and adjustable panhard bar too.

I've got 315's on a non-lowered 94Z and they rub on real hard corners with just me in the car and with anyone in the back seat I really have to baby it on turns. Rough (bumpy) corners are a pain, too. I'm running 11x17 ZR-1 replicas with GS backspacing. I wouldn't recommend them on a lowered car unless there's a trick I'm missing?? I have adjustable panhard that's centered -- it helped but didn't eliminate rub.

you need to do a few thinhs if you want to run 315's on a lowered car -

fisrt make sure that you get a proper offset to the rims
you may have to hammer the wheel well
if the offset is to little you may have to roll the fender
you WILL need and APHR to center the rear.

try a search on the appearance forum as this is discussed there often

I ran 335s with the intrax 2" drop and GS offset. It fit well but had to pound in the wheel well alot. The fenders were not rolled. They were fine but when going over big dips or bumps the top of the tires would scrape a little.

I run 315s now with no drop and have 0 problems.

I know this is probably a dumb question, but will 315's fit on a 8.5inch wheel? Whats the biggest size that I can get on those 8.5's.

17''x8.5''
