315/30 18's?

Anybody done it? Any problems? I've got rolled wheel well lips if that helps...

Thanks

Since a 315/30-18 would have roughly the same section width and outside diameter as a 315/35-17, if you put it on an 18x11 wheel, with 7.93" backspace, you will encounter pretty much the same problems as people running the 315/35-17 on 17x11 ZR1/GS offset rims. Some people bolt them on with no problems. Others need to cut the corner off the jounce bumper bracket, hammer the inner fenders and/or recenter the body over the axle with an adjustable panhard rod. Varies a lot from car to car. Maybe no interferences at all, maybe some that need some work. If you go with any less offset than 50mm on the 18x11 wheel, the tire profile will start to move out from under the fender line.

The rims are actually 18x10.5.... And I believe the offset is 58mm. Think that'll work?

My handy calculator says that wheel will have an 8.0" backspace, which will most likely cause some problems with the inner fenders. The way those wheels are set up, they have the full backspace of a GS offset 11" wide rim, meaning the "frontspace"... the distance the outer surface of the wheel sticks out toward the outside of the vender, is about 1/2" less than the 11" wheel. In effect, they took the 1/2" lesser width off the outside of the wheel. Definitely will not have a problem with the tire hitting the fender lip.

I would almost say to look at a 1/4" spacer.... although I really hate using spacers on the back. That would move the wheel away from the inner fender, but not far enough to cuase problems with the fender lip. You have to be careful with stud length when you start using spacers.

Alright cool... thanks for the advice. We'll see what happens when I got to bolt them up.
