30lb injectors plenty for Lloyd E H&C setup?
30lb injectors plenty for Lloyd E H&C setup?
Doing heads and cam when the car is away for the winter and I want to get my parts list completed before I start pulling stuff. I was planning on 30lb injectors the entire time, but now I'm wondering if this will be enough. I don't have any experience with how the whole duty cycle thing works and how things are figured based on hp, etc. I plan to do Lloyd's level 2 setup which if I remember right is good for around 400rwhp depending on tune and complementing mods. I want to make sure I'm going big enough. I have injectors,TB,and a few misc. things to get yet and I'm kinda stuck. I will now have a Walbro 255lph fuel pump to feed the extra power since the stocker just died on me yesterday. So I think I'm ok there.
Re: 30lb injectors plenty for Lloyd E H&C setup?
Ok since I have that info well taken care of. If I hold off on a larger TB will it hurt me too much? I was only going to jump up to a 52mm eventually anyway, but I considered getting an intake P&P done and possibly ported for a 58mm for power someday in the future. Since I'm not certain I am getting it done at the same time(I know NOT doing it at the same time would be kinda dumb) I was curious. #1 would the stocker be a huge bottleneck or just a slight one? And #2 would a 58 be too big for the setup or would 400hp be enough to use it efficiently. Thanks for all the help so far.

You really can't go to big on a TB especially if the motor is tuned for it.
The stock TB is a restriction on a cam only setup so a 52mm is at least worth it.

It's not to much $ if any to go with a larger injector, say a 36. Why not go bigger and give yourself more room? There's no downside to running a 36 over a 30...
