306 cam, ported heads, 3.73 gears?

306 cam, ported heads, 3.73 gears?
Quick question. I just recently installed a 306 cam and got my heads ported. My car came with 3.73 gears. Will these gears work well with my 6 speed with this 306 cam? Thanks for any help.

3.73's were not an option from the factory. Did you buy the car from someone who put 3.73's in? From the factory it should have 3.23 or 3.42's. 3.73's are fine IMO.

that combo should work fine for your setup.
highway should still be good and you're low end will be great with the higher gears.
