ive had both cams in my car .. though with different setups .. i must say that ANY big cam really needs gears .. when i had my CC306 and 3.42s i was miserable .. the CC305 felt just as good on stock heads

but now that i have 3.73s i really feel the cam .. lookin forward to my near future 4.10 install

basically, if u got a big cam .. get big gears ... if u cant back up ur cam with gears and / or stall .. dont bother going big or u will regret it

I'm not complaining, but gears would be really nice.

Good info. I should be alright because I'll be running the 373's, hi stall TC, and ported heads with my cc306. Thanks again for the info.
