3000 stall should it do this?inside fast--->

just got my car back from shop, 3000 stall seems to never come down in RPM. i was driving at 50 and it seemed to stay around 3000RPM, when does the lockup bring down the RPM? if so how much? if this is normal it really feels better than stock. just got to say this is the best mod i have done to my car!!!!!

After 47 MPH (I think) with low throttle position it will kick into OD. It should feel about like stock when it does.

Make sure you were in OD instead of D.

I believe the converter will lock up in D also at a certain speed. I forget at what MPH. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

If it doesn't come down in RPM the shop may have put a non lockup type converter in it. Like was said, it should lock up at 47 mph and the RPM's will drop noticable and won't slip at all.

It should be locking up which will bring the rpms down just as if it were stock. If by some chance the shop put in a non-lockup then you need to get that resolved and never return there after. Another thing I think should be pointed out is his sig says '93, I know that was a 4L60 with no "E", can anyone specifically address the lockup perameters on that version of this tranny?

It should lockup in D, that is why when towing you put a tranny in D so that it stays locked more because unlocked like it might be towing in OD builds a lot of heat fast. I know few of you would tow with an f-body but there are a lot of tow vehicles that use this tranny.
