The best test is dyno results. With my car I gained 12 rwhp
and 8 rwtq with a 2.5" dual vs a 3" cat-back. This is STP
corrected HP which is about 4% higher than SAE.

Granted, some of the gains came from the 2.5" catalytics
vs the stock 2.25" so it's hard to say exactly what came
from the cat-back part of the system. Because the gain
was decent I felt that it backed up my pressure drop
calculations which showed dual 2.5s better than a single
3.

So you got a custom Y pipe made with the 2.5 dual right?

could that be where the gains came from?

Do a search on true duals and you will find the photos. I do
not have a y-pipe, it's a true dual system.

Fast..all i know is that by just dropping the muffler at the track I picked up .25. Thunder racing also dynoed a car with the mufflex 4" with spintech and two out(just like mine) and picked up 28 rwhp by dropping the muffler.
