3" with Cutout or 2.5" duals? with hooker LTs?
3" with Cutout or 2.5" duals? with hooker LTs?
I've been thinking. with my Hooker LTs whats going to be best?
3" with a magna flow and a cutout after the Y and befor a highflow cat.
or
2.5" duals to the back, highflow cat in each
thing that gets me, I have the 3" and magnaflow from my old SS still.
and I figure if I go with aluminized steel for the duals and the two cats, that it will still cost about the same as the 3" electric cutout and installation and the cat. (or within 100 or so)
now I daily drive my car, so the duals are going to be loud, what can I do to make it quieter without taking from performance if I go that way?

If your worried about it being too loud I'd just go with the catback. I doubt you will suffer much on the hp end vs true duals, if at all. Besides if performance is your #1 priority sometimes then you can just open up the cutout like you talked about installing. I'd think since you already have the catback a single cat and an cutout plus installation would still be less than getting true duals built and installed on top of the price of 2 cats. Not to mention the difference in interior noise when the exhaust is going out the back instead of dumping right under the seats.
