I'm going to need to get a new radiator.

There is a 3 core brass and a 1 core aluminum, which will cool better? Thanks

PS this is for my wife's 87 TA, I knew I would get a quicker response in here, thanks again

aluminum is always better..brass radiators are basically soldered and glued and dont disapate heat very quickly. aluminum radiators are mostly always welded and cool quicker.

I was looking thru advance auto parts website and the price diff b/w the alum. 1 row and brass 3 row is the brass is nearly $80 more. Why would it be more if it is not as efficient? Thanks for sticking with me here!

most likely is because the 3 row is more OEM and the aluminum is aftermartket. just a guess tho, but ask anyone and they will say that aluminum is better made and efficient

I installed an aftermarket alum rad in my 454SS pick-up truck. The rad cools just as good as the oem brass and weights about 5-7lbs less!
