3.73's OR 1.6rr
Given the options, I'd go for the RRs. The RRs will give you more HP, where gears just magnify the TQ to the rear wheels. And once I got some good RWHP I'd go with the 4.10s with the M-6.
Going from 3.42 to 3.73 will get you 9% increase where the 4.10s will give you around 20%.
While going with gears may get you quicker times, unless you have the HP/TQ to maximize the gears you are, in my opinion, putting the cart before the Horse (power).
Get yourself some good quality RRs and match the springs to the cam you expect to add in the future.
Once you get your cam, then consider moving to the 4.10s.JMHO

if I would were to do it all again.. I would go rockers.. instead of pouring money into this stupid rearend that is just going to blow up anyways so just put money aside and
A) Build it when you need to *like when it blows up for the first time, and it will, we can guarantee you that*
B) Roller Rockers now, and save up for a man rearend like a 9" or a 12 Bolt...
