I have a 97 WS6 A4 and I am currently trying to decide what to do with it. From what I can tell gears are a safe bet to start with as well as a good choice in general. The question I have is that if I place those gears in my car will they slow it down in the 1/8 becuase of wheelspin or whatever. I currently have a Loudmouth and thats all and I turn a 8.92 with alittle bit of spin. I was afraid to get 3.73 and then go slower becuase of traction. I had that happen with my old car a 95 mustang. It was a standard though. Any help would be appreciated or even a suggustion on a better modification.

with a DR on that gear you should be fine, with mine I could sit on the stock stall and just go straight to the floor without spinnin, 1.9 60 foots all day long

 

OK sounds cool. I hope they work well for me to. I will prob have normal tires for a while though so it should be interesting.
