3.5inch MUFFLEX?

Ok so i am tired of the cutout.......Its really loud and i like that but the problem is it shakes and rattles EVERYTHING!!!! So i am going to buy a catback system and was wondering if the 3.5 inch mufflex system is any good? I mean flow wise..... I have heard that the SLP TOTL flows very well but i like the fact that the mufflex is 3.5 inches which would make you THINK that it would have decent flow #'s. So does anybody know how good this system is.....maybe some sound clips or somebody can comment that has this system??? Thanks alot guys.

your kidding right? my 80 series flowmaster rumbles and screams at high rpm. if i hit redline it almost backfires.. i dont know what flowmaster your talking about. i wish i had a sound clip of it to show yall. Obviously you have never heard one in person and are prolly just passing down what someone said on one of these forums.

Well i hate to jump on the bandwagon here but a lot of people say that the flowmaster sounds great but doesnt flow as well as other systems.....but we are getting off track here......i was just wanting to know info about the MUFFLEX 3.5" CATBACK i have seen..........i pretty much have it narrowed down to that and the SLP TOTL.......any input on these 2 systems is much appreciated....Thanks. Oh and i have a question.....is the SLP TOTL the SAME one that comes on the SS's??? Or is it better?

Ive got the 2OTL on my SS which is what SLP put on those cars in 97. I dont know if it is the same as what the offer now. I was going to change the exhaust out when I did my mods but I have heard it is one of the best flowing exhaust on the market due to the design. Ive got it, love it but only telling you "what Ive heard." I also have the mufflex Y pipe and its getting ready to come off for a custom Y pipe next week because I dont like the way it drags on speed bumps and its a little to close to some fuel lines for me too!

id probably go with the SLP, i think the 3.5in mufflex is a little overkill for your setup, even though it does sound pretty good

Why would you call it overkill? On the websight it says that the mufflex system is ideal for cars with intake, full exaust cars with cams..................SO i would think that my car is a likely candidate for this system............i WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE SOME FLOW NUMBERS FOR IT..........cause i have seen a flow # chart for catbacks that somebody posted before...........but the mufflex wasnt included in it....DOES anybody know how this system flows? That info would really help....THanks...

I live by mufflex, they are in NJ and they were the one's who put my cat-back on and what they said at the place was that you really need a lot of work done, a head/cam etc. I think your's will be fine, just don't go with their 4 inchers.

I personally like the sound of the Mufflex better, and I believe with the Spintech muffler, the flow is better, but I have no numbers.

I would go with the Mufflex.

I'll put the stock muffler on my car before I ever put another Flowmaster on it. I know I'm not the only one who had a Flowmaster rot out.

i have have the 4" on my car w/ just headers, and a cai don't see why you spend that much $$ and not go w/ the 4" being they are the same price i think.. the 2 on the Left has been a fav for a long time.. They both flow good i guess.. anything is better than stock but then again i did run 12.73's through the stock cat back.. so who know's..
