Thumbs up 2otl installed

fit was excellent, hardest part was removing original exhaust. the sound was melodious not as quiet as i had hoped but the tone makes up for the volume only problem is an exhaust leak in the slip fit at the cat. it had obviously leaked on the old system too because of the soot all under the car. can i just remove that joint and smear some rtv around it ? or is there a better way to get rid of this leak?

You could always weld it all shut.. thats the only way I could seal mine entirely. The 2OTL is a great catback.

I have 1 3/4" SLP headers & Y pipe with SLP 2OTL rear section. I really like the way it sounded. I had to replace the SLP muffler because it had internal issues. I put a Dynomax Ultraflow 2OTL muffler in it's place. Still sounds great.

Go to a 18 wheeler parts house or maybe NAPA and get a stainless 3" or 4"wide band clamp, remove your "c" type clamp and install the center of the band clamp at the joint and tighten 2 cap screw's.That will seal it as it pulls down to each pipe like a skin. Then when ya are ready to remove it ya can.

Re: 2otl installed

it is fixed. permanantly it seems. the ubolt clamps put a nice dimpled effect on my pipes so i could not take it apart to fix the leak. so i reused my original c clamp type with the ubolt and cinched her down until the leak went away. when i have to remove the exhaust though im in a fix for sure. so now i have two clamps on the slip joint at the cat
