under full throttle when it shifts into 3rd it acts like it hits the rev limiter a few times and then shifts but i had ed right change the shift point and no help ??

 

I think that's the most common shift (2-3) to have problems with, just from how the transmission internals work. I had my car do that to me once. It just kept revving, and revving, and revving then finally hit the rev limiter in second before shifting into third.

May be a sign of some transmission problems. You might be able to correct it for now with a shift kit, unless you already have one on there.

 

Your transmission is slipping. Get it rebuilt.

 

i had the same problem, first it did it once in awhile, than it did it all the time. I got a good deal on another tranny and put it in, and everything worked fine than. I dont know what was causing that to happen, i took it to a couple shops and they said it should do that, nothing is wrong with it. Which obviously there is.

 

Mine does the same thing but only when in 3rd when I leave it in Drive it will shift fine. I am sure the tranny will give out someday.
