2800 stall on a stock 76k mile trans?

im trying to decide what gears to get, 342 or 373, but i know in the near future i want to add a 2800 vig stall converter. is it safe to run a 2800 stall converter in a stock trans, with 76k miles, with a decent sized trans cooler, in a daily driver?

if its dangerous to the life of the trans, then ill drop the idea for now and just go 373s, are higher stall TC's hard on the transmission other than the fact that they raise the temps?

I have a 3800 in a tranny with 160,000 miles. Runs very good and have no problems..."knock on wood"

You should have no problems. Get a tranny cooler and shift kit. JMO

ive heard that shift kits rip the insides of 700R4s, i dont know how much truth there is to that. how is it on our transmissions?

mine is a 1996 camaro Z28, going to be stock except for a few boltons, and its daily driven, a lot of around town driving.
