nothing and shorten it

get a tranny cooler and a good rebuilt and it shouldn't effect life that long. trannies die due to abuse and heat. stalls make it easy to abuse them and create heat when they aren't locked up

tranny

i would go up on my gears i had 273s in my car and tore up two transmissions your car has a lot of torque and 700r4s cant take the strain is a long tranny mine kept twisting the clutch drum on the shaft macking hairline cracks in it and fluid would bleed off and burning up the cluchs and my car is pretty much stock i went to 373s and it runs 13.35 best on 273s 13.70 i would go with 342s if you drive it a lot

Not speaking from experience but I would think that cam with a 2800 TC and 2.73 gear would really hurt your low end. It would be interesting to try it though because you may be able to gas it off the line and not have traction problems with street tires.

why do people keep saying this? is my car a freak?
cause my mods are small and simple... listed below... and starting from an IDLE with the 2:73's on VERY GOOD SOFT tires, deflated, with posi, i have traction problems already... i have to baby it to about 15 mph then floor it...

4L60E is the same except your passing gear is controlled by the cpu and other shift points also no tv cable i have a 93 with a 700r4 if you really want a sweet tranny bolt a turbo 400 with a gear vendor and it will be pretty much bullit proof

How do you cool a manual transmission? All I've been able to find are these wierd finned reservoir expanders with heat fins on em... and not for the T56... heh
