Re: 25 MPG Highway ...

I got 20mpg on my last tank, on a heads/cam car, with 30-40% city driving, 30% highway driving, then 30% stop and go driving.

I get 26-27 every tank on my way to Bowling Green for the F Body Gathering every year, averaging 78 MPH WITH STOPS (80-85 cruising speed)...I love 6 speeds, too

Re: 25 MPG Highway ...

25mpgs on the highway is not a problem for my car. I usually get around 18-20 in the city as well, better then my Grand Prix by the way. I'm beginning to wonder if I should switch my Camaro into the "daily driver" status and let the Grand Prix be the "garage queen."

I also just took a 500 mile trip with my blown 385 and got 24 mpg going 80mph with the air conditioning on most of the way I usually get 13 mpg around town. This is the first long trip I took with this motor and I'm super happy with the mileage.

Yeah my LE heads and 224/230 110 LSA motor did 28 mpg just a couple weeks ago with the cruise set at 70 the entire way... all highway miles. I was impressed.

Yup, that 6th gear is great for mileage, but since mine is not a daily driver, I opted for 4.10s over the 3.42s since 6th gear is much too high for anything but flat-land cruising. JMHO

Re: 25 MPG Highway ...

22.5mpg highway cruising at between 80-90mph, with some pretty decent pulls from toll booths. This is an M6 with 4.56s, and the mods in the sig. I miss the 3.42 stock engine (just headers/exhaust) days when I got around 30 when nearly idling down the highway though . This is 93 octane, btw.

Forgot to mention, this (22.5mpg) was with the cutout full-open.
