Ok, so here is my story, I bought an LTx motor with a 24x efi system on it running with the LS1 PCM. I am getting the harness with the motor, only problem is the harness is a 94. I have a 97 trans am. I have since bought an extra 97 harness to repin. Will i need to get more connectors for my 97 car? OR can I just remove all wires/connectors from the 94 harness and put them on the 97 harness?? Thanks for all the help!

theres a few on tech that are, might wanna try there. or you can just call efi and they can tell you.

 

You shouldn't need to change anything. The repinned 94 harness should run any LT1 with the 24x conversion. The only reason you would want to change anything would be to remove any unused connectors.

 

Would there be a possibility of issues with minor variations in the interface to the body connectors? Shoebox has the pinouts for all years:

Well, i think im going to switch over the connectors to the 97 harness, it has more connectors on it (top of passenger side wheel well) so i think ill convert it to the 97 i guess, just need some schematics i guess

 

use the 97' and get the printouts just google it there everywhere i have a stack printed out lol plus the 94' harness doesnt have what you need for the trans the 97' will but you didnt say auto or stick

 

ok thanks! both harness' are stick. I just pulled the 94 harness off the motor tonight, hopefully get to it this week!
