Come on. I think GM rates the blocks to last to 500,000.

Well i have only had the car for about 5 months now. Its held up well and continues to fire right up with out a problem. Well just see how far the motor can go. I have seen motors with close to 320K on them and they having all kinds of bolt of stuff

ps.: I'll be sure and post when the engine grenades :-P

lol, nope heads have never been off the block and its full weight minus the front sway bar, spair tire and jack. Full leather interior and my fat 200lb ****. Tqdrivenws6 was there, it ran 113-114 all day, i granaded the springs on the spec III i found, i thought i was spining bad although it was probably the clutch sliping, spec 4 and a new flywheel is goin in this week in hopes of 11's

As far as I remember xxsaint69xx or whatever his screen name is was trapping something like 115mph with stockheads and the 306. I like that cam

I think you should put a really big solid roller in it and rev it to the moon.

I wong go too radical with it, i am just looking to get 12's out of the current setup before moving on to a serious build up. Is the cc306 bigger than the LT4 hotcam?

yeah, its quite a bit bigger, 236-242 544/576 lift with 1.6 rockers. i see that you ave an m6 as do i with the same cam. If the tune is on it damn near drives like the stock cam when its warm, it will surge a little when its cold but after that its money!!

ZX -- thanks for the words of encouragement I am sure the motor will be just fine. My builder told me that the cam bearings are pretty durable and dont actually wear that much with age. He said besides.. if it blows i'll rebuild it for you <----------- How can you argue with that
someone needs to show him those pictures of the front cam bearing that were floating around here a while ago, the front bearing had terrible wear because of the waterpump load on the front of the cam, can't remember the amount of miles though.
