2400 stall questions

I have a stock car am planning on putting some on some bolt-ons. its a daily driver so I wasn't really wanting to hurt gas mileage but I really thought a 2400 stall converter would be pretty fun with a shift kit and cooler of course. A friend told me that having this under normal driving conditions it would rev up when you take off. I know that's the point but I didn't want it to feel like it was revving up and someone slowly letting out the clutch. To people that have them can you notice much of a difference with the high stall under normal conditions? Anything I should think about before getting one? (looking at an slp) While I'm here I was wanting to ask if getting the z06 maf conversion is a good idea.

Sorry about the long post and thanks for the help

I also was wanting to know what I would have to do to install it. I would definitely do it myself.

You will not notice the difference with the convertor. I had a 3200 for a while and i didn't notice it...i just changed over to a 2800 stall because my computer won't take anything higher than that and i can't even tell the difference from stock. The z06 maf my buddy did and he got about 5 rwhp on the dyno.

I have a 2400 SLP stall and I can barely notice a difference.
I could notice a difference on my friend's (unknown brand) 3000 stall, but not much on another friend's Vig 2800.
