I tried to get a custom cam for these stage 3 heads and here's what i got. One company give me a cam that would peak at 7500 on a stock bottom end high mileage car and that cam was not worth buying, even after me telling them what i would like. Now i know they are experts and such but im not twisting the motor that high. Two company's never even got back with me, so I guess they didn't want any business, and another wouldn't do it at all b/c of the 987 valvesprings. Now I'm funding this by selling the heads and cam that are on the car now. I didn't have the money to go out and buy new springs, etc to make that work and buy a cam. So I went in another direction.

 

I had the CC XE 236/242 cam ground on a 110lsa and it drove like it was stock! Good low end even with stock 3.42s in the rear and it pulled like a mother from 3500rpm on up.

It's for sale if anyone is interested, under 500 miles before I rebuilt the motor for a blower set up.
