230/236 Comp Cam XE
230/236 Comp Cam XE
Guys,
I am dropping my new motor into my Impala today. Had dropped a valve and put a quarter sized hole in #7 piston. Kept the motor a 350 with stock rods, forged pistons and forged crank. I researched and decided to go with the Comp Cam 230/236. How will the car do for street applications. It is not a daily driver but gets alot of weekend use. And alot of drag time. I run ported AFR 190cc heads and Yank 3500 stall. Give me your opinion of this cam.

That's the cam I would of went with had my car been more of a track car and not on the stock TC.
NO2 guys go with a wider LSA so They don't lose nitrous out the exhaust value, but u prob know this already.

In my Desktop Dyno program the 230 236 on a 110 LSA made 501 FWHP and 509 FWTQ with those heads. I don,t think they were ported though just stock as AFR ships them.
This is the cam I am going with.
