224/236 cam, egr delete = bad brakes?
224/236 cam, egr delete = bad brakes?
Just did a 383 with a 224/236 cam and deleted the egr.
The idle is set at 900 rpm and am seeing 8 - 10 inches of vacuum at that rpm.
Not seeing any codes at the present time, but did notice the ABS light was on for a while.
The brakes used to be just fine.
Now the brake pedal now hits the pedal stop before the tires can lock up ... not a good thing
How can this be? I thought if you had to big a cam in, then you might lose the power assist, but you would still have "pedal". Is it possible that some air got in the system during the 2 months the car was down??
